Snoring, adult or adol., is caused by ineffective ariway clearance. This can be caused by congestion or blockage in the nasal cavities, the sinuses, the throat or thrachea. Any of these could by aggrevated by allergies, the common cold or flu, or an infection. Sometimes sleeping in a certain position (on the back or with an ill-fitting pillow) or being overly-tired, can cause snoring.. for most cases of snoring, alleviate the cause and you will alleviate the snore.
