What are effective methods for achieving slimmer thighs and a flatter stomach?

Do 45 min. or more of cardio 5 times a week...not sitting on a bike but on a stair master, treadmill, or eliptical machine. The key is also eating lean protein (fish and chicken) and few processed carbs, try whole wheat bread or whole wheat pasta if you just have to have some carbs, and try to stay away from corn, carrots, and potatoes b/c they have lots of starch which turns to sugar which causes your stomach to bloat. Cardio is the key to burning fat, sit ups won't give you a flatter stomach they will just help tone and strengthen your muscles.

Pilates is a great way to slim your stomach. It builds your core muscles and especially tightens your lower stomach(the place that usually gets big and flabby after having a few kids) If you really want to make your workout harder-try it with the balance ball.
