As the adopted parent, you have the right to tell him that he was adopted when you feel you should share that information. You and your spouse should agree on the best time to tell the child. However, other family members should not be revealing this to your child.

who else would? I am thinking that you are the sole parent in this situation and that the biological parents are no where to be found. either way when you signed the adoption papers you became the childs parent in all aspects. Its your choice but from experience it will be difficult for the child.
