What is the best method to transfer all data from an old hard drive to a new computer?

1) Burn a DVD of the contents of the old, and load to the new.. 2) Hook an ethernet cable between the two, have them find each other, and transfer.. 3) Take the hard drive out of the old and change the pin setting to "slave." Install it as a 2nd hard drive in the new one, and copy.. . Pick one of the three.

You can burn them to CDs or purchase an external hard drive. There is software for doing this kind of thing too (can be bought at Best Buy or other electronic stores) if your not very familiar with computers
