Best answer
By putting in the washing machine, not on gentle wash cycle, but can't guarantee it won't be ruined. That's speaking from experience.

put it in the washing machine and run the cycle with hot water - of course it may be more effective than you may want it to be.

I don't think there is a safe way to shrink wool. I have by accident washed a wool sweater on a regular cycle and it fits my grand daughter now. Even cold water would shrink it too small. I just don't think there is a way, sorry. Good Luck to ya!
