Why didn't Voldemort use Severus Snape to obtain the Gryffindor sword?

coz the sword was with harry. remember 2nd book when harry found it in the sorting hat? also, if harry HAD returned it 2 dumbledore, only when a person, true of heart called for it could get it.

Its in Dumbeldores office! Not an easy place to steal from I would wager, and theres still no real evedince that snape is not innocent-he had no choice up on the roof

agreed with first person: severus is not bad, he is doing a good job of playing double agent, but he is not on voldemort's side. dumbledore knows this, so we should all trust him, the whole last scene in book #6 is a setup for the death eaters... dumbledore was not pleading for snape for his life, he was pleading him to kill him. but that is a whole other discussion
