I always wondered who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "Hmm, I wonder what that large animal's milk tastes like." I don't know the answer, but I'll be watching.

This farmer was carring his she goat and noticed that the goat had a leak. He placed the goat on the ground and flipped it over to see where the leak was. When he squeezed the leaking niple on the goat it sqirted into his mouth. He quickly wiped it off, but the taste was good so he repeated the process over again and drank some milk. So he went on to tell all the village people about his discovery.

All mammals including humans feed their infants milk through breastfeeding. The ability to produce milk is a characteristic of mammals. Humans domesticated cattle millenia ago with the supply of milk being a primary reason - in fact, cattle were domesticated before writing was developed by at least 6,500BC with some estimates going back to 8000BC. In fact, they were considered the earliest form of wealth. Early records showed that they were used as draft animals, milk and as a sacrificial animals as well as meat.
