Why am I unable to see certain images on my screen and what can I do to fix this issue?

The red X indicates that the image is not available. This could be because of a number of factors, some common occurences are; bad link (link to image is no longer valid), no permission to view the image, or firewall software blocks your access to the image. Most of these symptoms you cannot remedy on your own. You can ask someone else to check if they can see the image, and if so, you can check your settings, but otherwise, you will be dependant on the site administrator.

Right click on the red X then click on show picture.

this may take some time but you can right click on it, then select "properties" then copy and paste the address(URL) to your address bar, then click enter you will be able to see it,

Sounds like you may have a pop-up blocker not allowing the pictures to show. Possibly a yahoo pop-up blocker of something built into your browser (firefox, Maxthon, etc.) try either completely disabling it or checking settings like Active X enabled or java enabled. If not the pop-up blocker then try resetting the internet settings to default.

all you hav to do is right click and then click show picture. if you still dont see anything, that means the picture is no longer available

Does it happen on all websites or just some?. . If just some, the most likely cause is the website. The picture that the website is attempting to display is no longer stored at the location the developer who created the site said it was at.
