drink a glass of milk, or take mylanta, rolaids, tums, that sort of stuff. milk neutralizes the acids and normally works right away.

for over the counter, Gaviscon (may not be spelled right) works great! If it's reoccuring, go see your doctor.

prilosec OTC is the best w/o a prescription.... but will take 3-5 days to kick in so back it up with some tums, and you'll be good to go!

maalox, mylanta are the best cheap ones, drink water, walk around some, try not to lay down for a while and stay away from tomatoes or its by products like ketchup, and of course spicey or acidic foods. good luck, i wish you the best luck.

Tums is probably the best. It contains calcium which is a two protons atom. Its good for your bones to. you can take as much as you want without overdosing. Mainly recommended by doctors on the high end. If you get my drift. Galviscon and pepto bismo are high in salt content. sodium is a one proton atom. So you have to take twice as much. Too much salt is not good for you. so there a limit. recommended by doctors on the low end if you get my drift.

Try drinking milk. Also try cutting out spicy foods. It sounds crazy, but peanut butter gives me heartburn.
