Dehydration causes dark, smelly urine. Drink more water.. If you know you're drinking a lot of water, it could be an infection or something you ate.

Hi! Many things could cause it but if there aren't any more symptoms than that i.e. you need to urinate very often, you have scant urine, it's cloudy or discolored, a burning sensation when you go, false sense of needing to go, then you probably just aren't drinking enough water.Or like others have pointed out, some foods leave a lingering stench in your urine. If you have some of the symptoms I listed, it's best to go to the Dr. for a checkup-okay? Good luck

You probably have a bladder infection. Or you ate asparagus; it makes your pee stink like sourness. See your doctor and get a test done.

Asparagus always makes my pee smell like a wet dog. Only while it is in my system. . . Your kidneys are filters like your liver. More water, maybe some cranberry juice, but if it does not clear up by Monday I would go to the doctor. If you get a fever or chills or find that you have pain or an inability to pee; go to the hospital. The pain could be from an infection, or something like a kidney stone. Inability to pee could cause the urine to poison your blood (uremic poisoning). It can be very serious.
