Not laughing here. Even Christians don't always understand Revelations and the signs. I think the big thing is, our human mind just can't comprehend what the Bible says on the subject. Most don't want to believe it's happening or are too wrapped up in themselves to care.

The impending crisis in the Book of Revelation was beleived at the time it was written to be "impending" in that era. It was beleived that the second coming would occur in that generation. I say let'em wait.

People thought and acted exactly the same during the time of Noah. And look what happened to them.

Well, many people in the world do not read the Bible or at least not the New Testament, nor do they care what it says. Of the people who do, many do not take everything it says literally.. . I'm sure there is a percentage of people who are aware of what the Bible says about this impending crisis. But they're not going to be thinking about it *all* the time -- nor are they going to take drastic measures in defense.

For the last two thousand years, it has been a good idea to still take care of your own business despite the fact the Bible says the world will one day end.. . The bible did not give an actual date that the world would end on.. . Eventually, maybe billions of years from now the sun will go dark, or supernova, or something. Other disasters could befall it too.. . So, nobody claims/believes the Earth will be a viable home forever.. . Still, it is a good idea to take care of business in the meantime.

Because the bible is a piece of literature which attempts to instruct morals and principles to ancient societies through a string of shrt stories and rhetoric. It also make attempts to explain various phenomena that ancient science had yet to conquer. To look at the bible as a mystique predictor for the future is ignorant. Even id Jesus existed, and believed he was the son of god, he could not have predicated over a billion people blindly following his teachings without questioning the world for themselves.
