How did a man end up dead in the forest wearing scuba gear?

He was trying to find the beach and got horribly lost. . He walked for miles in his scuba gear, too ashamed to take it off and eventually died from exhaustion. . It was 5 weeks before he was found by a Scout group on a camping trip. By that time both his arms and most of his left leg had been eaten by timber wolves.

Well urban legend would say that he was scooped up by a fire fighter plain that was getting water to put out a forest fire, and then was dumped in the forest with the water that was to put out the fire. This myth is wrong, but thats what "happened".

Was he dragged there by a cyclone/typhoon? Like that fish falling out of the sky story :P So the poor diver got caught up in the cyclone and .. well.. landed in a forest.
