A password is always required for you to access your mail unless you saved the password with your browser. If you no longer want your browser to save your password, go to OPTIONS, then go to SECURITY, then go to CLEAR SAVED PASSWORDS (directions may vary slightly from browser to browser).

When you signed up for yahoo email, you were requierd to choose a password. If you are using windows you and each other user may have his own account.
