mudcat is right. You can call 1-888-5-OPTOUT. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Consumer Credit Reporting Companies, are permitted to include your name on lists used by creditors or insurers to make firm offers of credit or insurance. The FCRA also provides you the right to "Opt-Out", which prevents Consumer Credit Reporting Companies from providing your credit file information for firm offers of credit or insurance that are not initiated by you.

I used the www.optoutprescreen.com website quoted in another response. Within two or three months the number of credit offers dropped from 3-4 per week to nearly none. It works!

Usually your information was sold to an affiliate without your knowledge in these cases. My bank is pretty bad with this. Until you find the root offender you will keep getting different offers. You stop one and another takes its place. Take a look at the people you do business with and research whether or not you can get taken off any 3rd party affiliate lists. Whatever credit cards you have now is a good place to start then try any lenders you deal with. Outside of that you can take out your frustration out by using thier prepaid envelopes to send back the crap or a note expressing your anger. Good Luck !
