okay how about asking her instead of telling her...we respond better that way. Honesty is really the best approach because there is hell to pay if we find out you are lying to us. Just flat out go up to her and ask her if she would like to go out sometime. What is the worst that can happen?

First, don't tell.. ASK? Make it very casual. Don't say it's a date, but more like.."Hey I'm hungry, let's go to ____ and get something to eat." or "Have you had dinner yet, I'm craving _____."
