The eighteenth amendment was done away with; it was about the prohibition of alcoholic beverages. Consequently, many people made their own beer and liquor, which was called bootlegging.

i think that was either prohibition or the amendment that gave women the right to vote.... . prohibition made it illegal to drink alcoholic beverages. that did noting but encourage the development of gangsters in america...especially chicago, who manufactured and distributed booze illegally.
