If your computer is connected to a power source but won't turn on, what steps should you take?

Check off the obvious first - try a different socket,make sure all your swtiches are on and everything is properly connected. If its a laptop, sometimes the battery needs to be in for it to turn on, even if its plugged in. check the electricity isnt off, and that the fuse is ok.. Once these are checked, you can consider getting the computer checked out by someone with experience

yes, try another known good outlet, or try a lamp in the outlet the computer is plugged into. if the outlet has power, it could be your power supply, motherboard or processor. i would change the power supply first as it's the least expensive part
