it is funny precisely because it is unacceptable. The only such noises that are laughed at are the ones that are in public and heard by others to laugh at. It reminds us in social situations that we are really just animals pretending to be better than the other animlas but are notSo this is funny to us to be exposed as the phoney mammals of the world.. EX: if a man farts in the woods and there is nobody to hear it, is it still funny?

Something that is funny, like gay people acting camp, is funny cause it aint socially acceptable, and when people see it there reaction laughter is just that, they can't hanndle the reality that it exists thus they laugh it off

A person of sophistocated stature farting while conducting business or holding class, or preaching a sermon is indeed an unusual event worthy of a generous laugh. A person farting without a sense of sophistocation and done on a regular basis is deemed grotesque by all who involve the senses in the fart's unsavory characteristics. I think no person wants to experience the farts odor first hand, but it is quite true that many enjoy the reactions caused by such an outburst.

It's funny because people tend to like forbidden things. This is the same reason why people stop and look at train wrecks. People also like to compete with eachother on best smell and loudest.

its funny because when somone is put in an embarassing situation such as letting out a natural, yet not socially exceptable little fart the only thing you can ddo is laugh about it. most people deal with embarassment by laughing it off and pretending like it doesnt matter when in actuality they want to curl up in a little ball and lock themselves in a closet because they are so rediculously embarassed and turning the color of a tomato
