I have nubian goats as well, when their pregnant they will start to bag up underneath their stomachs where their nipples are. You'll be able to see her bag start to swell as time goes on.

Here are Nubian pics to help you ID>>> http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&rls=GAPB%2CGAPB%3A2005-09%2CGAPB%3Aen&q=nubian+goat&btnG=Search. They are very easy to milk, and the Nubian milk is very good, without the 'goaty'taste, if she is fed correctly.. As far as knowing if she is pregnant, I really couldn't tell you, as I have had babies appear and catch me by suprise from goats that I bought at sales. However, if she has been with the male, chances are good that she is.

I had a Pygmy and she got pregnant and the vet told me to watch her belly and if it started getting hard she was pregnant. thump her belly and see if its getting tight(not hard).

As far as milking your goat goes, most nubians are excellent mothers so if she is pregnant her kids should nurse just fine. Meaning...you won't have to milk her unless you want the milk out of her for yourself. If this is the case, some goats don't like their udders touched by humans but the more contact you have with her the better she will be about letting you touch her udder to milk her. If you're worried about what to do when you wean her kids (taking the kids off of their mom so they can feed off hay and/or grain by themselves) her udder will be sore for a while with no kids sucking on her. But you don't have to milk her. Letting her "dry up" is healthier for her than keeping her in milk all year long.
