Just to add what has been written, the USPS is considered a government corporation, as is AMTRAK.

USPS is the united states postal service and its run by the government. UPS is the united parcel service and its a private company. USPS will deliver anything but UPS usually will only deliver packages.

USPS stand for United States Postal Service and is the national mail service for the Unites States. UPS stand for United Parcel Service and is a private transportation company that delivers worldwide.
