What are the steps to obtain a credit card without a credit rating?

Start out with a 'pre-paid'. Charge a couple things, add more money to the card. You have to crawl before you can walk.

Get a per-paid card...treat it like you would your mother.. NEVER be late on a payment...and within a year you'll get better offers in the mail...be patient

Getting a credit card with no credit is harder than getting one with credit problems. The creditor has no way telling what you will do. I started with a store credit card - clothing store. You can also try a pre-paid card and build from there.

When I was just getting started I did not have any credit and could not get a credit card or anything. I went to "Sears" and they gave me a card! That is how I got started.
