meat stays in your actual stomach for longer than other foods before it moves along the digestive tract, so you are, in a sense, full for a longer period of time and it takes longer for your body to digest protein than carbs and fiber, so the meat moves along your system more slowly, telling your body that it is not hungry. Ie, you eat a candybar and it is through you in a few hours and it is simple sugar that is easily digested so it is time to be hungy again.....you eat a steak, it is in your stomach for about 4 hours then it moves along and is more difficult to break down..taking much much longer. the headache is your bodys way of saying that is needs more of something...

Possibly protein needs. Do you use lots of sauces when you eat meat? Maybe sugar issues (i.e. ketchup has lots of sugar...maybe sugar withdrawals)?

It's call meat withdrawal and if you do not treat it by eating more meat, it can be fetal.

Vegetables arent really famous for filling you up. The meat is. You need a BALANCED DIET. And aspirin will only hurt you if you take it all the time, mind you. So just follow the food guide pyramid, and if you still consist of a headache, then call a doctor for a checkup.

Guessing--you could have some kind of addiction to the hormones in meat. Or it could be that when you eat vegetables you aren't getting enough calories. But the headache sounds like withdrawal. When I gave up caffeine in high school I had a headache for several weeks.. . You didn't say why you're cutting back on your meat intake. Maybe you need to reconsider. Some people just aren't suited to being vegetarians.
