Why do we fear our teachers when they are not related to us like parents and why do we listen to them?

Teachers determine if you pass your class or not. It's always best to be wary and not necessarily be teachers pet, but rather, attempt to get them on their good side. Trust me. It's easier to do a class if everyone follows the teacher correctly.

It sounds like maybe you have been raised correctly. I don't think it is fear, but it may be respect you are feeling because your parents raised you to respect people in authority. I hope so.

the answer is simple, it's because they represent the authority, like a police man or as same if you need some operation the doctor tell you that you need that if you want survived you going to listen what the doctor tell you.

Because we are taught from a young age to respect them because they are older and (sometimes not too much) wiser.

becos they are the higher authority.. do you really think teacher's have nothing they can do to you? try doing sth bad in class (talking back when he/she scolds u) and see what happens when your parents hear of that. . . anyway we are in school, studying, and teachers control the no. of marks they give you so i think you'd better listen if you want to get the marks you deserve :D

You shouldn't be afraid of them but you should respect who they are and what they are trying to do, which is give you an education, Knowledge is Power

Make no mistake, authority is vested in teachers. Your future depends on your education. They hold power to fail you, this is awesome power especially in light of the rest of your life. Be nice, teachers had to work very hard to become teachers and then spend every day putting up with attitudes like yours.
