Why does my boyfriend's dog growl at me, even when it's not angry with me?

well.... if that happened to me i would think it is probably because my boyfriend might be spending more time with me than his dog. So that everytime your at his house the dog growl at you because it knows that you are going to get most of the attention, not it. So in a way you 2 arent friends but enemies.

the dog maybe alergic to something like perfum or so...

Dogs are simple animals, it probably smells your weakness and anxiety when you're near it. You have to show that dog who's boss, or it will continue to project it's dominance over you. Or you can just leave the boyfriend, and get with someone that has a cat. ;)

He may feel you are threatening to his owner. He may not be well socialized. He might just be trying to punk you. There are so many reasons why...I would start with the easiest first. Let him know you are NOT scared of him. If that doesn't work, take him a treat and maybe for a short walk or a belly rub. Try to make friends so he knows you are a safe person. If all fails...he just doesn't like you.

A growl is a warning sign. There must be something that is making the dog uncomfortable or nervous.
