What is the historical background of the conflict between Ireland and Northern Ireland?

It has to do with Irish independence. Those who want to be an independent country are usually Catholic. Those who support the British monarchy are usually Protestant, following the Church of England.

because north ireland is part of the UK and common wealth so the IRA not the real irish army but a terriorist group as some owuld call i would call them heros cause british people are fags and dont deserve irish soil and ther will always be a ira group like the brotherhood basicly a bunch of armed pissed of irish guys are attacking uk army targets

Ireland and Britain have always been fighting. North Ireland which is just a small part of Ireland is inhabited by the British. I do not now why they fight though.

They are fighting because along time ago there was only one Ireland but the white man split it in half so they could own one of them. The same thing happened with Virginia and west Virginia.
