Infinity is not a number, but is a quantity that is bigger than any number. So, we cannot add something that is not a number with one.. . In conclusion, there is no answer, since the question, infinity + 1, is wrong.

Well to everyone who says the answer is not infinity is wrong, the answer is most certinly infinity, so if you were asked which is bigger infinity or infinity^2 you would have to say they are equal, basically infinity is just a really large number and is not defined, there is nothing that says that whatever number you pick for infinity isnt the same as infinity squared..meaning that infinity isnt a defined number...even if you use infinity multiple times in teh same equation...therefore anytime you see infinity and then do some operation to it...you still have infinity. . hope this helps!!

In mathematical terms, any thing which is added to the infinity is only infinity.. So infinity + 1 = infinity.

I'm sorry to tell you, but the only correct answer is infinity. You see, infinity is a number that you can never reach. This being said, you can go no farther than to something that you can't reach. Picture yourself walking towards infinity. As fast as you go, you'll never get any closer. Since you can't get there, you can't get close to getting there. If you could get there, it wouldn't be infinity.
