You need to talk to your teacher/prof about that. Depending on the number of assignments, you may not be able to bring it up. Each teacher is going to decide how much each assignment and test is worth so it's impossible to give specifics or even say that you can.. . Another advantage in talking to your teacher is that they can be very specific about the things to focus on and may give you pointers on the course.

Try to study just a little bit harder. If that doesn't work, ask your teach if you can do some exta credit.

I would suggest you get A's on every project and/or test you have between now and your mid-terms. I don't know how your teacher is weighting the grades you already have - I would suggest working really hard.. . Good Luck!!!

Go straight to your teacher and look him/her hard in the eyes and say, "I just gotta' get that D up to an A! What do I have to do?" Teacher knows what your weak areas are and perhaps how best to approach bridging those challenges.. Be ready to accept whatever the teacher says, and do your utmost to make it happen. Keep in touch with your teacher throughout the work you do so you can be sure it's acceptable.. Good luck.
