Why do people provide opinions instead of answers?

It's actually a good question-see right there I gave an opinion-the questioner didn't need to know what I thought of the question. The answer is: people want to believe that they have acquired a certain amount of wisdom throughout their lives...otherwise what the hell is the point of it all?

Because most answers are opinions unless backed by facts. Facts are data which are agreed upon by common belief, empirical or otherwise.

Individuals often interpret their opinion as education, or that of being educated. It is often an accumulation of experience without a great deal of reflection. Most mean well and it depends much on which society a person lives in.
