find a technical school that offers a degree in this field. a medical assistant helps a doctor in the office by taking blood pressures ,etc. a physicians assistant is a registered nurse who has special training and degree allowing her/him to perform some of the treatments and physical assessments a doctor can but not all ----and works under the direct supervision of a medical doctor
