What is smaller than a gene in terms of biological components?

a little misinformation above......DNA is made up of Nucleotides, which are normally referred to as bases. Genes are a linear collection of bases which encode some information (mostly protein AA sequence). This means that DNA is made up of segments called genes, (or apparently non-coding regions) and genes are made up of nucleotides (bases).

Genes are composed of many smaller components. They are composed of RNA and DNA which are composed of nucleotides........to smaller and smaller parts----> Atoms, electrons, protrons, neutrons.....then to the fun real of quarks and such. A gene is relatively HUGE in comparison to its basic constituents.
