Define 'below your threshold'

threshold is literally the ground level below a door. figuratively it is a bar above which things are acceptable, and below which things are unacceptable. the threshold on your this site answers is set at a default level, but you have the capacity to raise or lower it, as explained by another answerer.

If an answer gets a certain amount of "thumbs down" ratings, then it will hide the answer from you. You'll still be able to view them though.

That area of your home beneath your door sill is your threshold.

It just means the person is on a higher level than us.... Example if a person is on level 2 they are below the level 3s threshold.... Ok I guess I was wrong....

There is a drop down menu that you can activate that says things like "Show answers with ratings that are more than -2" meaning.. the votes that aren't shown to you or 'below your threshold' have had 2 thumbs down votes. I believe you can easily change this to show all answers. :)
