How can I determine the appropriate size turkey for Thanksgiving?

It's usually 2 pounds per person, but I find that if you want to have leftovers (yum) and you have big eaters, then you better do 3 pounds per person. . So you're looking at a 14 to 21+ pound bird.

my family usually feeds a total of 9 of us and we usually get a 26-27 lb turkey and we have some left over... . i would suggest around 25 lbs for u
