Ocean water has more dissolved solids in it, mostly salt. Great Salt Lake in Utah is even saltier than the ocean and a person can float on it like s/he was on a raft. Don't make the mistake of rubbing your eyes though, because it stings like hell!

Salt. Objecst like logs coming down a river mostly submerged will shoot to the surface and threaten navigation because of this, and were known as the original "deadheads".

Fresh water is generally flowing so it leaves most of the sediment it caries on the riverbed ,but in case of sea water the salt and other minerals present in it are not settled on the sea bed so amount of material per cubic meter of sea water is more than that of fresh water .That is why sea water is more denser than fresh water.

I don't think that it is. You can float in the Great Salt Lake in Utah.

The real only difference between seawater and fresh water is the salt content. It has to be the salt.

It's the amount of salt in it. If you swim in the Dead Sea, you actually float due to the high salt content.
