Suggest a unique method for preparing mashed potatoes

Mash them with coconut milk and some curry paste. Sprinkle with cilantro :)

Do parsly and pepper with the garlic or maybe some other spice to give a finess of color to the taste.

this is very tasty: to a large pot of potatoes add: i/4 cup chopped green onions; 1/2 cup sour cream; 1 teaspoon garlic powder, teaspoon of dill flakes, 2teaspoons parsley flakes;1 teaspoon thyme; 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese; i cup of bacon bits (dont use the artificial); i tablespoon prepared mustard; 2 tablespoons butter. mash it all together. this recipe tastes better if you dont overdo it with the mashing

Add cream cheese, chives or do a parmesan smashed potaoes. Red -skinned potatoes with parmesan, garlic, salt &pepper.. I made a cauliflower/potato mash once...my kids have asked me to make again a lot. I don't know what I did with the recipe. It was really good and definitely different. Maybe search it online?

Add a packet of Ranch dressing. In place of Garlic.You can layer potatoes then grated cheese. top should be cheese[any kind you like] pour a little milk or cream over top. dot butter or marg. on top. Bake 350 until cheese melts and lightly browns. hope this idea helps. Happy Turkey Day

Hot unsalted mashed potatoes, with or without skins. . Butter or margarine (optional). . Preparation . Prep Time: 10 min.. Cook Time: 40 min.. . Add seasoning & salad dressing mix to potatoes; stir well. Serve with butter or margarine, if desired.. . . Looking at this again, I think you will probably need to add some milk to this recipe if you like your mashed potatoes to have a creamy texture.

How about taking ordinary mash potato and spooning or piping it onto trays to make biscuity type things - my dad calls them potato merangues. They go all crispy on the outside and you can pick them up with your fingers instead of having to use cutlery.
