As several others have already said federal law supercedes local laws. Whether or not it is enforced is an entirely seperate matter. As a citizen of Nevada however I can say that the marijuana measure will most likely NOT pass. It was tried four years ago and failed miserably and I'm sure it will do so again.

They will send in the Gestapo, i.e. the DEA, and shut down any state-run shops selling marijuana. Fighting drugs is big business in the USA, and the DEA doesn't want anyone honing in on its turf. Look what the DEA has done to medical marijuana patients in California and other states. Also, I doubt the state would even follow through if Question 7 does pass.. . Even so, I hope Nevada voters approve Question 7 if only to show that people are fed up with our country's war on marijuana.. . Free Willie!

The same thing they did to Calif when we voted in medical use of marijuana.. The Federal gov. threatened to take away millions in federal funds if Calif allowed it.. It is not allowed. Big Brother always gets his way.

There are just too many people in our government that earn their living keeping marijuana illegal. They will fight it with all their ability.
