What are the physical changes that occur during a nuclear reaction?

atoms splitting apart by fission and protons clinging to the control rods in the reactor. there is steam produced also. and if you REALLY wanna see physical changes, jump in!

i dont think there will be any physical changes u observe except the radio active glow.because the atoms split to form new atoms which u cant simply identify or differentiate by seeing.. i think u will see huge glow.
