How do I use a formula to find the maximum value in a range of cells in Excel?

Use function MAX.. . For example you have data in range A1 to A10 and you want to find the largest number in the range, type in a blank cell. =MAX(A1:A10)

Use the Max function with that range and you may display various information based on the Max value using the IF function.. For example: A1=Max(A2:P2) and if 80 is a passing grade - B1=If(A1>80,"At least one passed!","None passed")

In your example, put this into the A1 cell: . . =max(A2:P2)

put all of those cells into one column then sort descending to put the largest of the entries at the top of the worksheet.

You are asking to select the cell that have the max in a range, right?. You need two functions. Hyperlink and Max (Hyperlink from insert > function, not from Insert > hyperlink).
