No it is not dumb, it is blessed. To put aside your own desires to visit the poor and disenfranchised is a Godly act, and it means that you have the love of God in you. Such selfLESSness is inspiring and can only lead to future blessings in your life. Look for other opportunities to serve God and he shall richly reward you.

No, I think your awesome! You will have a million more birthdays and helping others is only a opportunity once in awhile. If everyone would stop only thinking of themselves the world may be a beautiful place. No one really knows why these people became homeless in the first place. I have known a few homeless people and some are very intelligent. We all encounter rough circumstances in our lives but most have help or can be emotionally strong enough to deal with things. I think its great for you to help out!!!where is this anyway?????
