Most lung cancer is caused by smoking. About 87% of lung cancers are related to smoking. Exposure to other harmful substances, such as asbestos, radioactive dust, or radon, also increases the risk for lung cancer.

There are several causes, however smoking is probably the number one cause. If you smoke, I would quit...I smoked for 15 years and I am quitting right now...it is hard, but worth it! your skin and hair will feel softer, you will feel better waking up in the morning...hope I helped!!

Many causes. for time being the main cause is of course=cigarette the core habit... other than tht,it can be inhalled asbestos,silicons(all those occupational diseases). Or idiopathic.
