How can I track the progress of my immigrant application?

they they sent you a letter that your paper is now on process? do you have your number for your application, then it would help to contact the immigration agent regarding your resident application..you have to keep informed or updated.

You should received a letter from INS that your papers are being process, however, you mentioned that you've been waiting since 1999.....that was long enough. Compile all the docs you have and hire a lawyer regarding your situation. I hope this helps.

I sounds like something went wrong. If you are waiting this long it might be because you applied for LPR through employment or through a family member other than parents. It usually takes about 10 years for both items I listed, however if you applied through marriage to a citizen or LPR, then you should use your receipt number and contact uscis.gov to find out where you are at in the application process. Or you can contact www.emichoice.com and someone will assist you for free. I hope I was helpful.
