Why do girls often feel pressured to be more perfect and reserved than boys?

Women are more adept with emotional things. Most people are more connected to their mothers. I believe that society, as a whole, hopes that women as mothers will have a more powerful influence on the morals of their children. I think it is hoped that this will make a better world.

I think we bring a lot of it on ourselves. Most men would like us just the way we are but we insist on expensive clothes and silicone. Media too.

maybe it's because girls mature seven years faster than guys do so we should "know better"

Parents used to get paid dowries, money, horses , goats,ect.. for virginal daughters. Girls today just give it away . . . got any FREE samples?

Because most of todays (id say all but im not sure) cultures are male based... and men are generally shallow... and beleive themselves already perfect (I am in no way perfect but i do find myself being big-headed at times.) and that women have less room for faults.

because society is stupid. it's always been that way though so I try not to dwell on it too much. and didn't you know, boys will be boys? (Most AWFUL saying EVER.....totally excuses anything they do while if a GIRL did that OMG the world is going to end!)
