Why do some people believe that women become alcoholics more easily than men?

Women have alot of problems and to cope with them they use alcohol to numb the pain they feel. Its not a good thing to do cause by drinking more they only make more problems for themselves.

I have known several alcoholic men and very few alcoholic women.. . Maybe these drunk girls just hang in your circle. =)

because some women drink becase they are either mad or they just feell like drinking and men in the other hand are stupid and all they do is drink because they think its cool to get drunk and they drive at the same time

Do they? Well my guess would be that women are more emotional than men and would most likely take to drinking their problems away.

becuase they are more mentally unstable, plus have smaller bodies to consume the alchoal

they seem to deal with stress and anxiety much different than men. I feel that this somehow relates, since drinking seems to dilute any ongoing issues.
