Great point, but the question should be why are you still hanging on to these blighters? Why dont you give them Independence and let them sink of float on their own, and worry about your problems?

It's a good question. But I don't think the answer lies in the undeniable fact that there are so many Scots in the cabinet. The last Tory government was not nearly so accented yet doggedly retained these differentials. The answer lies, I suggest, in value for money. . . Scotland is the better investment. And that's the ONLY reason I can think of that Scottish independence has been resisted by UK national governments of every hue.

So in other words you would be happy if the majority of the money was spent in England, even though it is the United Kingdom goverment. Surely the goverment distributes the money fairly dependent on the need and not on which country in the UK it is going to.

I accept there may be more need for spending in Scotland and I have no gripe with that. In a United Kingdom there will always be areas requiring a redistribution of wealth. What gets on my nerves is when some Scots start complaining about North Sea Oil revenues etc. I've always said if they want independence then they should make up their mind and start working for it.
