Why did George W. Bush not heed the warnings of a potential attack before 9-11?

I heard that it was a communication breakdown between the CIA, FBI, etc, and I've never heard that Bush knew about it beforehand. If he did, I would guess that there wasn't enough conclusive evidence to do anything major because of the breakdown.

Because the people controlling Bush, are the ones behind 9-11, are the ones who control the news/media. Check out who actually owned the World Trade Center, who took out a 99 years lease worth billions, who got the whole complex insured specificaly for terrorist attacks 6 WEEKS before 9-11 and he's not the only one to gain from those attacks. O.K. Lets say he did ignore warnings about an attack on 9/11. He sure listened to the cia, fbi and all of the other intel people who said Hussein had WMD. He listened, congress listened and look what we have. Turns out that info was flawed. You conspiracy people really crack me up. show me clear and concise proof that he set up the attack on 9/11, and maybe I'll believe it. Don't show me some paranoid asswipes theories, and sceneraios cobbled together with information from 1980-2000, show me proof, a memo from Cheney to the CIA director, or from Rummey to the CiA director. Show me proof.

Yes, he could have been more aware, but it was really Clinton's inaction that doomed us. If he had take out Bin Laden when he had the chance, 9-11 might never have happened. Remember that Clinton was in office 8 years before 9-11, Bush only for 8 months. I don't think the terrorists thought in January of 2000 "Oh, they have a new President, I guess we better plan our attack now." 9-11 was in the works for a long time.

Because his regime was THE ones that set it all up in the 1st place..he didnt know about it tho till after the attacks took place...but Cheney sure did know....as did Daddy Bush and his ol CIA cronies..theyve been bizzy in the Middle East for decades... . It was not for nothing that all the hijackers were Saudies...as Bush and his friendships to the house of Saude will attest to. . This current government isnt any Americans friend..it is only in this for what they themselves can get out of it. . and 9-11 did save a failed Presidency...didnt it? But not for long.

The same reason Clinton ignored them.. . And, no. I'm not a Republican OR a Democrat.. . It is fiscally irresponsible to investigate EVERY claim of terrorism. The FBI and CIA get these claims every day....they can't use taxpayer dollars to investigate the claims of every Tom, Dick and Harry.. . Bush's administration screwed up. It happens. What you should be asking is: Why are we at war with a country who has nothing to do with the 9-11 attacks and not busy hunting down Osama bin Laden?
