How can I stop my dog from barking excessively while we swim in our pool?

he wants to be with his family, not the odd man out. he's saying.."what about me?"

If you are playing with beach balls in the pool, that could be it. My yorkie barks too, but it is always focused on a ball. Let your dog have a little space and see where he goes and what he is focused on. He could also be mis-interpreting horse-play for someone being hurt and wants to protect them. If the barking bothers you when you are having rest/play time, put him up in another part of the house.

He feels left out maybe. Not allowing him into certain areas that you go into. Maybe he feels that he can't protect you in those areas being that he is fenced out.

he is afraid of something in the yard and in the pool. Dogs have a special ESP.

is there something in the yard he sees as a threat or does he just want to be with you? either way train him not to bark and reward him when he obeys try looking at ur library for a book on training. i know my corgi barks when a stranger comes up or he sees a snake maybe another animal is causing him to bark

sounds like he misses you guys cause u guys cant pet him so i'd say give him a bone one of those big ones and he'll be entertained :)

I would put him in the pool with you. He probably thinks he is human and just wants to do what you do. He knows his limits. So i say let him play. If he doesn't like it maybe he will stop barking. . I think he will love it! I know i did!! . How ever I still bark at the mail man. Who dose he think he is putting stuff on my house. (J/K)
