Which type of gold is more expensive, 13k or 14k?

While 14k gold has more gold in it, 13k is uncommon and would have to be a custom alloy. because of this, it would cost more to have a piece of jewelery made from it. if a piece is marked 13k, look carefully, it could be 18k (which is common) with a messed up 8

24 k is pure gold, but it's "soft" it can get scratch and bent easily, so to make jewelry more durable they make alloys of gold with other metals to make it harder. the price will depend on the alloy, if it's common silver or copper - gold alloys are cheaper as the amount of gold decreases 14 k has more gold in the alloy than 13 k therefore is more expensive...

That would have to be 14. The higher the number, the more actual gold there is, and the higher the value. Unfortunately, the higher the number the softer the metal is.
