How can I confirm that the email I sent has been received by the recipient?

You can't tell for the most part but most of the time they will get it if you did not get a email back from the searver saying they did not. Lot of people do not use 'read receipt'

You can always attempt to attach a read receipt to the e-mail. If it's staying within the same email client, you'll probably get notification on when that person read your e-mail. If it's going to a different e-mail client (i.e., Yahoo to Comcast)... you can probably have it tell you when it was delivered to that person's e-mail... but that'd be it.. . My guess anyways...good luck!

Most email programs have an option to request a recipiant recipt. So a search in your emails help file for that.

if they write back! no really, you can ask for a 'read receipt' if you send an email through many email clients, such as Microsoft outlook.
