I got same message on one machine.. That computer had virus, DSL internet connection and browser settings were also messed up.. If you are using internet explorer, you can restore the default settings, specially under tool, internet options,connections,LAN settings toggle with automatically detect settings.

It may have just been a temporary problem connecting to the server. That may happen sometimes during high-traffic hours.
