Explain the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist

A psychologist counsils you and talks and can refer you to a psychiatrist if they feel you need prescription medications.. . A psychiatrist will evaluate you, talk some to you and watch how you respond to the prescription medication he prescribed to you.
