Explain the difference between a works cited list and a reference list.

a works cited list is a list of all the things you used.. . a reference list/bibliography is a list of all the things you looked at/touched even if you didn't use it.

They both are Bibliographies. I prefer works cited. I would ask your professor which one they prefer. If you google hml format or works cited list and reference list that may help you a little better. Good Luck!

It depends on what style you are writing in. MLA style calls it "works cited". APA calls it "bibliography". They are both reference lists.. If you're not sure what style you're using, talk to your teacher or professor about it, it's usually pretty important to them.
